<p>Cleaned and preheated raw coffee beans are treated for 10-40 mins. with a chlorohydrocarbon near its boiling pt. under continuous stirring, whereby the cuticular layer of waxy substances (contg. the irritating carbonic acid 5-(hydroxy)-tryptamide) is removed, without reducing the caffeine content and impairing other beneficial properties of coffee.</p> |
