1458243 Nailing plate press DAYTON INTERNATIONAL Inc 14 Oct 1974 [15 Oct 1973] 44497/74 Heading B4C A press for attaching nailing plates to roof trusses comprises a carriage 40 having a pair of rollers 50, 52 and movable relative to a frame 10 which supports a truss 20, the upper roller 52 acting directly on the trusses and the lower roller acting on the trusses through movable reaction pads 25 mounted on the frame 10 for vertical movement by the roller 50 as it passes. The reaction pads are interspersed with frame members 22 which normally lie above the pads and allow jig members to be mounted thereon. Pendulum legs 60 are provided on frame 10 and these are swung away by the approaching carriage which comprises a rail 62 to provide alternative support for the frame 10 by means of wheel 64 thereon.
