Time difference measuring device - compares measured time difference and reference value for ultrasonic velocimeter

The time difference measuring device is used as part of a measuring system, e.g. an ultrasonic velocimeter, to determine the time lapse between a measured signal and a reference signal. The difference measuring circuit, provides an output signal representing the time lapse between the measured and reference signals, and is coupled to a comparator comparing the measured time lapse with a fixed reference value. A control is coupled to the comparator for controlling the reference signal, so that the corresponding measured time lapse is equal to the reference value.
