发明名称 THERMAL TRANSFER AND IMAGE-RECEIVING SHEET
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an image with improved print density and enhanced resolution by using a thermal transfer technique in the N magnification made which is performed at a higher transport speed for an image-receiving sheet than a transport speed for a thermal transfer sheet, and further using the image- receiving sheet having a finely uneven surface layer consisting of fine particles and a binder on one surface of a base sheet. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer sheet is formed with a thermally melting ink layer on the surface of a base film, preferably through a sensitizer layer, using ink consisting of necessary ink materials. An image-receiving sheet consists of a surface layer with a fine unevenness containing fine particles and a binder, at least, on one surface of a base sheet. The recommended fine particle is such as inorganic fine particle of microsilica having an average grain diameter of 0.5 to 10mum. When a thermal transfer technique in the N magnification mode is used, the ink layer is scraped off efficiently by the fine unevenness due to the difference between the relative speeds of the thermal transfer sheet and the image-receiving sheet at the time of data printing. Thus an image obtained demonstrates high print density and superb resolution.
