PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from lumping and bridging by agitating the toner with a toner agitator in the area formed between sloped bottom plate parts having a claw part for toner scraping and around the surface of a replenishing roller. CONSTITUTION:A toner box 6 is provided via a toner replenishing port 5 in the upper part of a developer containing vessel 3, and a replenishing roller 7 consisting of a porous elastic member is disposed in the box 6 in the state of closing the port 5. Further, a comb-tooth-shaped toner agitating body 9 which agitates the triangular area A formed between the bottom plate parts 6a having a toner scraping claw part 8 and the peripheral surface of the roller 7 is disposed above said roller. When a toner replenishing command signal is emitted, the roller 7 turns in the arrow direction, and the toner stuck on the peripheral surface of the roller 7 is scraped down by the scraping claw part 8 and in association to this the agitating body 9 operates, whereby the toner is prevented from lumping and bridging. |
