PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a rotary table indexing rate setting mechanism by setting indexing angles of the rotary table in application of axial directional moving rate of a slide table in a machine tool. CONSTITUTION:A slide table 3 which loads a rotary table 3 to rotate with a shaft 6 as its center is installed in free command of sliding on the bed 1. A working shaft 10 is turned and driven by a feed screw shaft of the slide table and a rack shaft 14 in parallel therewith. The tip of the rack shaft tangentially contacts a dog 16 which is fixed at the determined position of the bed 1. Indexing of the rotary table 3 stops the slide table 2 at the position to have the interval between the tip of the rack shaft and the dog 16 as the distance equivalent to the indexing angle, with a clamp cylinder 8 operated, the rotary table is sent up, an indexing gear 12 is engaged with a working gear 11, finally it is done by sliding the rack shaft 14 until it tangentially contacts the dog 16. |
