PURPOSE:To perform still picture reproduction without any noise bar, by stopping a tape run at the place where the reproduction output level of a head is maximized in the middle of a scan period and by displacing the head at right angles to the track. CONSTITUTION:When switch 24a is slanted and placed at contact (a) of the still picture side, FF30 and RSFF21 are both reset and while output Q of FF30 is held at a low level, output Q' of FF21 is held at a high level. Next, gate 23 is opened to apply capstan motor driver Z with motor driving voltage E2 via gate 23. Once a tape is run, the output of level comparing circuit 20 changes in level from low to high and output Q of FF30 is held at the high level. Then, FF21 is set and while its output Q is at the high level, output Q' is at the low level, closing gate 23. Thus, the tape is stopped in an envelope state. |
