PURPOSE:To obtain images having high density at a high speed and for a long time stably by providing an air supply fan on paper supply side of record heads, a ventilating fan on paper delivery side of the record heads so as to exchange the atmosphere in a recording part by these fans. CONSTITUTION:In the title ink jet recorder, a recording is performed by discharging ink from record heads 1C, 1M, 1Y, 1B on a material to be recorded 5 on a conveyer belt 4. An air supply fan 72 is provided on the paper feed side of the record heads 1C, 1M, 1Y, 1B and a ventilating fan 71 is provided on the paper delivery side of the record heads. The air supply fan 72 and the ventilating fan 71 exchange the atmosphere in a recording part. When the material to be recorded 5 passes a roller 101 and a sensor arranged on this side of a platen 41, the air supply fan 72 and the ventilating fan 71 are turned on and an air blasting in the recording part is started. The air supply fan 72 and the ventilating fan 71 are turned off in accordance with a detecting signal of a time that the material to be recorded 5 passes a paper delivery sensor 201. |
