PURPOSE:To prevent the intrusion of harmful noise into a sonar tranducer in a sonar dome and to improve the function of the sonar by providing movable shield plates in adjacent to the rear end of the sonar dome protruded to the outside from the hull. CONSTITUTION:A fixed type sound shielding plate C is provided behind the sonar transducer (a) in the inside of the sonar dome (b) which is protruded into the outer water from the hull H. A pair of the movable sound shielding plates 1 are provided in adjacent to the rear end of the sonar dome (b). Each sound shielding plate 1 can be rotated with the noise shielding plate shaft 2 which forms a unitary body with the plate as a center. The noise shielding plates 1 are expanded from the position shown by a solid line to the position shown by a dotted line by driving and rotating the shaft 2. Said noise shielding plates 1 are rotated and expanded by actuating a hydraulic cylinder 5 in a noise shielding driving mechanism. The harmful sounds such as clamorous sounds and noises generated in the ship can be effectively shielded, and the target searching operation of the sonar through the transducer (a) can be efficiently performed. |
