PURPOSE:To improve the working rate of a counter and shorten the transaction time of an automatic teller machine by changing the utilizing purpose of stackers in a counting section in accordance with instructions from a control section. CONSTITUTION:This automatic teller machine 100 is provided with a counting unit 2, housing unit 1, carrying body 4, card/bankbook processing unit 9, safe 5 which is provided separately from the unit 1, and control section 6 which controls the operation of each section in addition to independent money receiving-delivering units 3A and 3B respectively provided on the front and read faces of the machine 100. When two users simultaneously use the automatic teller machine, plural stackers in a counting section work in such a way that one stacker classifies and discriminates the paper moneys to one user while another stacker stacks the paper moneys to the other user after classification and discrimination and the carrying body 4 carries the paper moneys to a delivery port. Therefore, the working rate of the counting machine can be improved and the transaction time of the automatic teller machine can be shortened. |
