PURPOSE:To assemble a silencer made of plastics for sure by providing coupling holes on either one of a body and cover body made of synthetic resin and coupling lugs on the other one and by inserting an inner partition board between the main body and cover body against its elastic force. CONSTITUTION:When a silencer 12 is to be fitted to a cylinder head 7, the main body 14 is placed at a preset position on the cylinder head 7 and is supported by inserting a connecting pipe 16 by force into a suction hole 7a and fixing it. Next, an inner partition board 15 is mounted on a flange step section 14b, and a cover body 13 is deppressed into a flange 14a against the elastic force of the inner partition board 15, then coupling lugs 17 are coupled with coupling holes 18 to complete the assembly, thus the coupling lugs 17 are firmly coupled with the coupling holes 18 by means of the repulsion of the inner partition board 15. |
