PURPOSE:To aim at damping vibrations and obviating a breakdown happening, and so on, by inserting buffer material, e.g., rubber and the like into the center hole's bore part of an offset grinding wheel and putting it in possession of elastic functions. CONSTITUTION:In this offset type grinding wheel 1, a ringlike buffer member 2 composed of elastic material such as rubber, synthetic resin, etc., is stuck in an enlarged bore part of its center hole, letting the wheel bore part have elastic functions. And, a convex part 3 having a relatively large diameter and a concave part 4 corresponding to the convex part are formed at the wheel center and the grinding wheel 1 is attached to the wheel spindle via a fixed side flange 5 provided at its one end with a concave 6 almost identical to the conveye part 3 of said grinding wheel, then only at the outside in clinded outer surface between this convex part 3 and the concave part 6 of the fixed side flange 5, a buffer member 7 consisting of elastic material is arranged while a buffer member 11 is interposed between the concave part 4 and a convex 10 of a clamping flange 9. Therefore, fine variations and vibrations to the grinding surface of the wheel 1 can be effectively absorbed. |
