PURPOSE:To prepare the subject yarn at a low cost without fusing the yarn and enable the reuse of an oiling agent by dry-spinning a pre-ceramic polymer, applying the oiling agent such as a perfluoro ether, a perfluoroamine or a perfluoro hydrocarbon, doubling the spun filaments and subsequently burning the doubled filaments. CONSTITUTION:A reactor 3 installed in a constant temperature tank 6 controlled at 0 deg.C is purged with dry nitrogen gas 4, and a solvent and dichlorosilane are fed from a solvent tank 2 and a tank 1, respectively, into the reactor 3. Ammonia is further fed into the reactor 3 to conduct reaction with the dichlorosilane and produce a polysilazane of pre-ceramic polymer. A solution of the pre- ceramic polymer is dry-spun from a spinning nozzle 41 into a spinning cylinder 42, and, if necessary, the spun filaments are doubled. The filaments are passed through a drawing zone 43 and a drying zone 44, treated with an oiling agent such as a perfluoro ether, a perfluoroamine or a perfluoro hydrocarbon, and subsequently burned to provide the objective ceramic yarn. |
