PURPOSE:To manufacture metallic composite bars efficiently making adhesion interface uniform by providing an electrically heated electrode roll in a pressure welding roll. CONSTITUTION:A base metal and a clad metal 3, 4 are sent out and led to a preprocessing device 5. Grease is removed from the metals 3, 4 and oxide films on the surface are removed in the device 5, and the metals are shifted to a furnace of reducing atmosphere 6. A pressing roll 7 and a feeding roll 10 are provided near the entrance of the furnace 6 facing each other vertically. The two metallic bars 3, 4 are superposed, and pressure welded and rolled by a feeding and pressure welding roll 11 that forms a pair with a pressure welding roll 10. At this time, the two metallic bar 3, 4 are energized and heated by a feeding device 9 provided between the first feeding roll 8 and next feeding and pressure welding roll 11. A composite bar 13 thus formed is cooled through a cooling device 12 provided at the exit of the furnace 6 of reducing atmosphere, and taken up on a winder 14. |
