PURPOSE:To easily and inexpensively constitute a head moving mechanism, and to remarkably lower the cost of whole of a device, by providing one of a coil or a magnet on a head side as a second driving means, and the other on the main body side of a recording and reproducing device, and interacting a magnetic force between the coil and the magnet. CONSTITUTION:To decide the moving direction of a carriage 1 to be performed at the next step corresponding to the deviating direction of a head position obtained from a position error signal, polarity to excite the coils 14A and 14B is decided. In other words the direction of a current to be impressed on the coils 14A and 14B is decided. Following that, an excitation current with a prescribed direction and a prescribed size is impressed on the coils 14A and 14B for a short prescribed time via a coil excitation circuit 24. In such way, the carriage 1 is moved by a micro quantity in a direction to dissolve the aberration of the magnetic head within the directions A and B by the interaction of the magnetic force between the coils 14A and 14B and a permanent magnet 16. |
