<p>PURPOSE: To provide an on-demand, limited slip differential device by providing a viscous coupling to transmit torque to at least one of two output accelerators from a drive accelerator. CONSTITUTION: Rotation from a driveshaft is transmitted to a housing 62 through a ring gear 56 on a viscous differential device 10. This housing 62 is delimited into left and right chambers by a partition 86, and viscous couplings are respectively constituted by alternately combining ring plates 142a, 142b fixed on its inner peripheral surface and ring plates 148a, 148b fixed on drums 78a, 78b of rear axles 58, 60 and sealing viscous fluid 153 inside. Consequently, an on-demand limited slip differential device is provided, and it is possible to automatically transmit driving torque to a wheel having sufficient road traction in a state where the wheel spins.</p> |
