PURPOSE:To attain sufficiently good regeneration of continuous gradation by incorporating a specified amt. of an amino alcohol compd., a p-dihydroxy benzene compd., a water-soluble thiosulfate compd., and a water-soluble silver salt compd. into a developing soln. for diffusion transfer. CONSTITUTION:>=0.4mol./l amino alcohol compd., >=0.05mol./l p-dihydroxy benzene compd., 0.06-0.15mol./l water-soluble thiosulfate compd., and 0.002-0.02mol./l water-soluble silver salt compd., are incorporated into a developing soln. for diffusion transfer. Suitable water-soluble silver salt compd. is a silver salt such as AgNO3, silver perchlorate, etc., generating silver complex ions when added into a developing soln. Silver complex ions in an image receiving layer increase during development due to generated silver complex ions. As the result, a sepia tone is eliminated by the promotion of physical development, improving thus the tone. By this constitution, continuous gradation is regenerated satisfactorily. |
