<p>PURPOSE:To improve the file transfer efficiency and to relive the load of the processing by a transmission work station by confirming the transmittal of a data packet in the file transfer in the lump finally and processing the reception state of each reception work station in the lump after all the content of the file is sent from the sender side work station. CONSTITUTION:A transmission work station 1 divides a file 4 sent to a network 3 and adds numbers DPa-DPi specific to the divided file and sends the result to the network 3. Upon the receipt of a fault reception packet NPi, the file DPi of a packet number is sent again, and reception work stations 21-2n receive divided files 51-5n from the network 3 to reconstitute them into the original file size and when all packets are not received, a fault reception packet NPi with a packet number not received is sent. Thus, the file transfer efficiency is improved and the load of the processing of the sender side work station is relieved.</p> |
