PURPOSE:To select a large amt. of material with the slight magnitude of magnetism by attracting a magnetic material to be detected on the surface of a rotary cylinder, providing a strut for supporting and fixing a columnar magnet and a device for rotating the cylinder, and moving the magnetic material on the surface of the cylinder 13 and the cylinder to a position where the magnetic force of the magnet is not exerted. CONSTITUTION:A regular resistor R of specified nickel content sent to a certain position is attracted by a columnar magnet 11 set at a specified distance from the face of a rectilinear feeder 41 and stuck to a rotary cylinder 13. The resistor R is detained by ribbed braces 13R, 13R,..., supported and rotated along with the cylinder 13. When the resistor R is rotated to a square and circular notch of the magnet 11, the magnetic force exerted by the magnet 11 is rapidly weakened, and the resistor is dropped from the face of the cylinder. The resistor of specified nickel content is received in a non- defective recovery box 15 and accumulated. Conversely, the resistor R of lower nickel content is not strongly attracted by the magnet 11 or stuck to the cylinder 13 and dropped into a defective recovery box 16 arranged at the terminal of the feeder 41. Consequently, a permanent magnet of stabilized magnetic force is selected, and selection precision is enhanced. |
