Pipe connection in vehicle exhaust pipe - has coaxial space between ends with sealing membrane

The connection for two pipes conveying hot media, especially as a vehicle exhaust pipe has the pipe ends (1, 2) forming a coaxial annular space (3) between them. At least one circular, radially extending sealing-membrane (11) made of temperature and corrosion-resistant material joins the pipe ends (1, 2) and are arranged in a set (10). The outer and inner peripheral parts of the sealing membrane set are axially compressed between walls (5, 7, 8, 9) which join the axially parallel walls (4, 6) of the annular compartment (3). The sealing membranes, along at least part of their radial lengths have profiling between them. USE/ADVANTAGE - The pipe connection gives axial and coaxial freedom of movement, and has a good sealing effort.
