<p>A method for the identification of high risk and low risk human papillomavirus (HPV) types in a sample including the steps of hybridizing the sample with a consensus primer pair for amplifying DNA sequences of high risk and low risk HPV types, amplifying by an enzymatic reaction the DNA sequences which hybridize to the consensus primer pair and detecting amplified DNA sequences. A method for increasing efficiency and sensitivity of enzymatic DNA amplification by using primers having a sulfonated polycytidylic acid tail attached to them.</p> |
