PURPOSE:To offer such an elevator load detector that is capable of detecting a yet more accurate cage load. CONSTITUTION:This elevator load detector is provided with a load detector 5 detecting a cage load, a measuring means 221 measuring a balancing control current of a drive motor at each floor at time of constant load in a cage, a means 222 making out the reference value of a motor current with the cage load at each floor on the basis of this balancing control current measured by this measuring means and storing it in memory, and a means 223 comparing the motor current at time of elevator normal drive landing with the reference value at the landing floor, and compensating a load detection signal detected by the load detector in making a load deviation corresponding to the deviation as a load compensation value. |
