PURPOSE:To reduce a light signal waveform at the time of transmitting through an optical fiber of an optical modulator in which variation in a wavelength is suppressed. CONSTITUTION:A laser light source 1 such as a distributed feedback type semiconductor laser, etc., a bias circuit 2 for supplying a predetermined bias current to the source 1, an optical modulator 3 which inputs a laser light from the source 1, a driver 4 for driving the modulator 3 according to an input modulation signal, a differentiator 5 for differentiating the input modulation signal, and a compensator 6 for superposing a compensating current of an amplitude, a phase and a polarity according to a differentiated output signal on the bias current and supplying it to the source 1, are provided. |
