Granular sulphate fertiliser treatment to prevent dust formation during bulk transformation - comprises spraying with conc. urea soln.
摘要
Dust formation on granular sulphate fertiliser is prevented by spraying with 4-8 g/t of highly conc. urea soln. having a temp. above 30 deg.C. Pref. process, the fertiliser is potassium or magnesium sulphate or as mixt. of these. The urea soln. has a conc. of 50-80% esp. 60-67% and is sprayed at 45-70 deg.C. USE/ADVANTAGE - The method is used during loading or transportation of loose, bulk fertiliser. The method avoids the expensive and complex procedures described in DE136956 and DE3003883. It also provides optimal environmental protection e.g. by suppressing undesirable odour release and damage to ground water which occur when alternative dust-binding agents such as soft paraffin and spindle oil (DE2538276) or molasses together with glycerol, polyethylene glycol or triethanolamine (DE3918523) are used. In addn., the urea used is itself a fertiliser.
