<p>A medicinal composition efficaciously inhibiting cancerous metastasis which comprises a sugar chain separated from the surface of Streptococcus agalactiae Ia type and/or Ib type as the principal component. Owing to the resemblance in structure to the surface sugar chain of cancer cells, the surface sugar chain of Streptococcus agalactiae Ia type or Ib type adheres to E-secretin expressed in vascular endothelial cells when contained in the blood of a patient, and antagonistically inhibits the adhesion of vascular endothelial cells to cancer cells, thus efficaciously preventing cancerous metastasis.</p> |
