Process for cleaning (poly)isocyanurates at 80-350 deg C and elevated pressure, optionally in the presence of a catalyst comprises reacting the isocyanurates with primary and/or secondary amines and/or NH3 and/or substances which split. The NH3 under reaction conditions, as NH functional substances with water has a content of <= 10 wt.%.
