Projection system for medium format slides (i.e. 85 mm)

The system consists of a projector (1), a slide magazine, and a projection surface. A newly developed HMI lamp serves as the light source and the optics are achieved using a parabolic mirror which encloses the lamp. The direct UV-light and heat development is absorbed by UV- and heat filters before the slide plane. The projector encompasses a magazine for several slides (2). A second magazine running parallel to the first removes the slides from the light path in a single mechanical action. The slide magazines are made from light alloy metal, and the guide rails for the slide magazines are coated with Teflon (RTM).
