The torsion shock absorber for a friction clutch comprises a first disc shaped shock absorbing part (14,16). A second shock absorbing part (12) is able to rotate relative to the first about an axis (A). A torsion spring unit comprises at least two springs (32) succeeding each other in the peripheral direction. The absorber has an intermediate annular part (42) which can rotate relative to the first and second parts about the axis. This intermediate part comprises a spring unit support arm extending approximately radially to the axis. The intermediate part has radial stops, for stopping the springs outward radial movement, in their end zones directed toward the spring support arm.
