PURPOSE: To correctly detect the occurrence of the paper jamming by providing a control means to determine the time interval with which a detecting means detects the present of a paper sheet at the position of selection in response to the detecting means. CONSTITUTION: Means 50, 52 to detect the presence of a paper sheet in the position of selection along a specified paper sheet moving route 40 are provided. The time interval with which the detecting means 50, 52 detect the presence of the paper sheet at the position of selection is determined in response to the detecting means 50, 52, the reference jamming time is determined in response to an input means, and the generation of the paper sheet jamming by a control means by comparing the detected time interval with the reference jamming time, is determined. |
