PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kind of artificial marble by a method in which a granular raw material is distributed in a decorative layer, and a stone color tone is controlled and its production method. SOLUTION: A backing 14 containing a powdered raw material and a decorative layer on the backing are constituents, and the raw material is incorporated only in the decorative layer. As for a kind of artificial marble, first a mixture 11 containing the raw material and a transparent resin is sprayed on the surface of a form to make density approximately uniform, and the powdered raw material adheres to the surface of the form with the transparent resin used as an adhesive. After that, a cast layer as the backing 14 of a product is is formed, and a stone tone molded product is obtained through demolding. |
