PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject foamable sheet, satisfying flame retardance, and capable of manifesting a high expansion ratio and an excellent design by chemically foaming a polyolefin resin using a specific metal hydroxide. SOLUTION: This foamed sheet comprises (A) a polyolefinic resin, (B) a platy metal hydroxide (for example, magnesium hydroxide) having 2-10 asbestos ratio (ratio of a diameter/a thickness) and <=2μm average particle diameter, (C) a chemical foaming agent (for example, azodicarbonamide), and if necessary, (D) an inorganic filler (for example, calcium carbonate). The comprising ratio of the components is preferably 1-120 pts.wt. component B and <=100 pts.wt. component D based on 100 pts.wt. component A. From the view point of the flame retardance, the total of the compounded amounts of the components B and D is preferably >=5 pts.wt. As a result, a floor material excellent in a design, and an architectural interior material such as a wallpaper are expected to be provided.
