PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of MIDI channels used for effect addition control for a chorus, etc., as much as possible as to the effect adding device which can add a chorus generated by varying the pitch of the singing of a KARAOKE singer to the singing. SOLUTION: This effect adding device is equipped with voice units 101 to 104 which add effect to an inputted voice signal and sends MIDI messages of sounding and muting instructions to the voice units by using a common MIDI channel. An assigner means 100 which assigns the received MIDI messages to the individual voice units when receiving the MIDI message of the sounding instruction searches the voice units in specific search order for a free voice unit and assigns the sounding instruction to the free voice unit when it is found. |
