PURPOSE:To obviate the need of an ozon generator in decomposing order components adsorbed by deodorizing catalyst, for making a deodorizer compact and reducing the cost. CONSTITUTION:A deodorizer 15 is installed in a chilled air circulating path of a freezing compartment 4 and supplied with a portion of chilled air by a chilled air circulating fan 9. Deodorizing catalyst packs 18 and 20 are arranged on an inlet 16 and outlet 17 of the deodorizer 15, and a honeycomb heater 19 is furnished between the inlet 16 and the outlet 17. When the deodorizer 15 and the chilled air circulating fan 9 are stopped after the deodorizer 15 is operated for a specified time period, the honeycomb heater 19 is energized to heat the deodorizing catalyst packs 18 and 20 up to about 200 deg.C, so that odor components are oxidized and decomposed by oxidizing catalyst carried on the deodorizing catalyst packs 18 and 20. |
