PURPOSE: To sufficiently adhere a base to a carpet without impairing an appearance of the carpet by generating a frictional heat by reciprocating the base and the carpet for a predetermined time in a forcible engagement. CONSTITUTION: The carpeted panel comprises a base 12, a layer 14 of a backing material and fibers 16. The panel is superposed on the base and formed of the carpet welded thereto. The base is preferably formed of a heat molding made of an ABS, polypropylene, polyethylene material or cast panel. The backing material of the carpet is most generally formed of a polyethylene, polypropylene or latex material. A movable flat plate 20 is coupled to a power means 22 to be reciprocated in a horizontal plane in a direction of an arrow 24. |
