PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain guide in which an assembly work for an arm and a shoe can be performed as simply as just pushing the shoe from the above, by securely preventing the rising, the transverse drift and the longitudinal displacement of the shoe. SOLUTION: The chain guide comprises a metallic arm 3 having a convex surface on the upper side; and a shoe 4 of synthetic resin which is mounted thereupon and is guiding the traveling motion of the chain contacting therewith under pressure, wherein a plurality of flanges 18 are provided on both side faces in the width direction of the shoe 4 in a protruding manner to contact with the end panel of the arm 3, an engagement means 19 is arranged for positioning fixedly the shoe 4 against the arm 3 at overlapping area between each flange 18 and the end panel of the shoe 4, and then the shoe 4 can be mounted on the arm 3 by just pressing from above.
