PURPOSE: To connect a large number of auxiliary lines by providing a time division multiplex transmission system, which is provided with various assignment circuits with a mutual connection terminal. CONSTITUTION: An asynchronous time division multiplex transmission system is provided with the mutually connected terminal, and this terminal transmits cells supplied from auxiliary lines 14a to 14d to a trunk line 10 and is provided with cell filters 11a to 11d which are connected to auxiliary lines respectively. The cell filters send cells to be stored in cross buffers 12a to 12d which are connected to cell filters respectively at the time of assigning bus discriminators included in the cells to auxiliary lines, and the mutually connected terminal is provided with an assignment circuit 9, to control the read of cells from cross buffers to the trunk line.
