PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the demagnetization method of a permanent magnet for fully demagnetizing the permanent magnet without changing the magnetic characteristics of the permanent magnet. SOLUTION: A magnetized 1-5 based SmCo permanent magnet alloy is heated at 1,000-1,150 deg.C in an inert gas atmosphere or in vacuum, and then is cooled to 800-900 deg.C continuously at a cooling speed of 0.1-3 deg.C per minute, and then is rapidly cooled to a room temperature. |
