PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone directory data transfer system for a mobile phone that can exchange telephone directory data without the need for an exclusive cable to interconnect the mobile phone and a computer and for an exclusive hardware unit for wireless communication. SOLUTION: By using a phone network such as a general phone network 2 and a mobile phone network 3, an external device such as a computer 1 having a telephone number edit function can read telephone directory data stored in the mobile phone 5 and the telephone directory data of the computer 1 are written to the mobile phone 5. Thus, an exclusive use connection cable and hardware unit to exchange data between the mobile phone 5 and the external device such as the computer 1 are not required.
