PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an injector for injecting fuel under high pressure into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine so as to realize a triangular pressure characteristic curve without an adverse effect on pressure via a special restriction region. SOLUTION: The injector for injecting fuel under high pressure into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine makes vertical stroke motion provided by a pressure-releasable control chamber, has an inlet passage opening off a high-pressure collecting chamber and into an annular chamber circumscribing an injector body, and has a nozzle inlet passage connecting to a nozzle chamber of an injection nozzle and openable and closable by a sealing surface. A hydraulic spring is arranged in correspondence with the injector body. The hydraulic spring has a suppression control element, which is loaded with high pressure via the volume of the hydraulic spring and via the high-pressure collecting chamber inlet passage.
