PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing an optical fiber- attached ferrule, in which the core fiber of the optical fiber is free of scratches. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a holder 5 for clamping the core fiber 1b of the optical fiber 1, a ferrule-holding part 5a for holding a ferrule 8, and a cutter 7 for cutting off a clamping part 5b clamping the core fiber 1b. With the core fiber 1b of the optical fiber 1 clamped by the clamping part 5b; and then after the core fiber 1b has been fixedly inserted into the hole of the ferrule 8, the clamped portion of the core fiber 1b is cut off by the cuter 7.
