PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a releasing agent applying member by which releasing agent is applied evenly, a fixing device, an image forming device equipped with them and a method for manufacturing the releasing agent applying member. SOLUTION: The roller type applying member 32 having a groove 55 inclined to a circumferential direction I on its peripheral surface 61 and applying the releasing agent to a sheet carrying member; the fixing device having the applying member 32, the sheet carrying member to carry a sheet and a supply member to supply the releasing agent to the applying member 32; the image forming device provided with them; and the method for manufacturing the applying member 32 in which the original form 65 of the groove 55 is formed on a roller type base substance 59 and then the base substance 59 is coated with a coating layer 58 so that the groove 55 may appear are provided.
