A process for producing plastic containers, comprises placing a thermoplastic film (5) in a mould (4), and after heating and cooling, the film takes on the mould shape. Cut back sections are formed by changing the cross-sectional geometry of the mould before or during the moldings process, and then changing back before the formed film is removed from the mould.
