PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishhook capable of preserving good characteristics even when used for a long period, and capable of improving fish-biting performances. SOLUTION: In this fishhook 1 used for fishing and composed of a base material 10 comprising a metal, a diamond-like carbon coating 30 is formed on at least an area of the base material 10 from its tip to a part to which a bait is touched through an intermediate layer 20 for increasing adhesion of the coating to the surface of the base material 10.
