PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal electro-optical device that can display a bright image in a large view field by forming an auxiliary capacitor without reducing the aperture ratio. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method includes a step of forming a thin film transistor on either one of a pair of substrates, a step of forming a first wall consisting of an auxiliary capacitor electrode and its covering dielectric in a way to cover the above thin film transistor formed on one of the substrates, a step of forming a second wall consisting of an insulator separating from the above first wall on the above substrate, a step of forming a pixel electrode at least on the side surface of the first wall and forming a common electrode on the side surface of the second wall, and a step of dripping a liquid crystal material at least on one of the substrates and pressing the other substrate on it.
