PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with information regardless of the supply source. SOLUTION: A user 1 carries a PK 12 for storing PMDs. A remote commander 13 is used for the user to input operation to an information viewing device 14, and is used for the user to input operation to an information providing device 11. The information providing device 11 acquires information provided to the user and metadata regarding the provided information from various service supply sources via the Internet 21, and further receives the supply of PMDs of the user 1 from PK 12, accumulates provided information to the taste of the user 1, and generates an information list that is the list of the provided information. The information providing device 11 provides the selected provided information to an information viewing device 14, based on operation input made by the user 1 by referring to the information list.
