METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING MULTI-POINT STREAM ON LOCAL AREA NETWORK, AND CONNECTION DEVICE FOR PERFORMING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in transmission of multi-point packets between an end client for receiving these packets and a gateway on a local area network.

SOLUTION: A transmission method for the packets transmitted with a multicast mode by a connection device between a first network and a second network comprises the reception step of the multicast packets whose multi-point packets are to be generated to a client of the first network from the second network, and the transmission step for transmitting at least the predetermined packets which are transmitted by the multicast mode in accordance with a unicast transmission mode in relation to at least one of the client of the first network who is a subscriber to a transmission group.
