Glyco-compound derivatives are provided to have increased solubility in water, and prevent decomposition by heat, light and oxidation, thereby being usefully used for foods, cosmetics, and medicine industry. The catechin derivative is represented by one of the formulae(1) to (5) and (6-1) to (6-6), where the formula(1) is catechin-O-alpha-D-isomaltooligosaccharide, the formula(2) is epicatechin-O-alpha-D-isomaltooligosaccharide, the formula(3) is epigallocatechin-O-alpha-D-isomaltooligosaccharide, the formula(4) is epicatechingallate-O-alpha-D-isomaltooligosaccharide, the formula(5) is catechingallate-O-alpha-D-isomaltooligosaccharide, the formula(6-1) is epigallocatechingallate-7-O-alpha-D-glucopyranoside, the formula(6-2) is epigallocatechingallate-7,4"-O-alpha-D-glucopyranoside, the formula(6-3) is epigallocatechingallate-7,4'-O-alpha-D-glucopyranoside, the formula(6-4) is epigallocatechingallate-4"-O-alpha-D-glucopyranoside, the formula(6-5) is epigallocatechingallate-4'-O-alpha-D-glucopyranoside, and the formula(6-6) is epigallocatechingallate-4',4"-O-alpha-D-glucopyranoside.
