IC CARD SETTLING METHOD USING REMOTE VIRTUAL SECURITY APPLICATION MODULE

An IC card settlement method using a remote virtual hardware security module is provided to perform settlement of an IC card by using a usual credit card checker without replacing with a credit card checker equipped with a SAM(Security Access Module) mounting slot in case that new type of e-money is issued. IC card information read from a reader is received through an electronic information processor via the network(21). Authentication is performed based on the received IC card information by using each authenticator assigned to each type of the IC card used for the settlement(24). An authentication result is transmitted to the electronic information processor(25). IC card settlement result information is received from the electronic information processor(27).
