A felt that can be used at high temperature and excels in mechanical properties; and a bag filter therefrom. There is provided a needle felt comprising a ground fabric and, superimposed on one surface or both surfaces thereof, a web composed of an organic heat resistant fiber and a basalt fiber preferably mixed at a proportion of 95:5 to 50:50 (wt. ratio), these unified by needling. As the organic heat resistant fiber, there can be mentioned a fluorinated fiber, a polyimide fiber, a polyphenylene sulfide fiber, an aramide fiber and a polybenzamide fiber, especially preferably a fluorinated fiber whose main component consists of polytetrafluoroethylene. From this needle felt, there is produced a bag filter. |
