FIELD: medicine, ultrasound diagnostics. ^ SUBSTANCE: one should determine an echostructure, size and localization of neoplasms in retrobulbar space at applying ultrasound dopplerographic techniques. Moreover, it is important to register the quantity of pathological newly-formed vessels in the neoplasm to calculate the index of vascularization (IV) according to the following formula: IV = Nchr.l./Stum. X 100%, where Nchr.l. - the quantity of chromatic loci in tumor tissue; Stum. - the tumor's ultrasound sectional area. At IV being 50%, not more one should diagnose malignant neoplasms, and at IV being 100% - capillary orbital hemangioma should be state upon. The innovation widens the number of preparations for predicting orbital neoplasms. ^ EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of diagnostics. |
